Nieuwpoort is a historic fortified town with the largest yacht harbour in Northern Europe and a remarkable location at the mouth of the IJzer. By bike this is an ideal junction: the Coastal Cycling Route, the IJzer Route towards Diksmuide and routes through the Westhoek all converge here.
