A modern landmark and a popular spot for walkers and cyclists who want to enjoy magnificent views over the Belgian coast.

Spectacular views over coast and polders: Climb the 71 steps of the tower and reach the highest platform at around 20 metres in height. From the top it feels as if you are standing in a crow’s nest. From here you have panoramic views over Middelkerke, Westende, the vast North Sea, the dunes and the green polders of the Flemish coastal plain.
Special viewpoint in the dunes: Even from the lower platform at about 7 metres high you can look out over the Warande Dunes, a valuable nature area with typical dune vegetation such as marram grass and various remarkable plants and animals.
Architecture inspired by nature: The slender steel structure immediately stands out because of the long curved rods at the top. These refer to the marram grass that is so characteristic of the dune landscape along the coast.
Historic location: The tower was built on top of the remains of the former water tower of Middelkerke. Although the old tower has disappeared, the original function remains: a large part of Middelkerke is still supplied with drinking water from this location.
Perfect stop during a walk or cycle ride: The Warande Tower lies along popular walking and cycling routes between Westende and Middelkerke. It is an ideal place to take a break and admire the surroundings from above.
